Sportswomen Miesha Tate

 

Miesha Theresa Tate ( born on 18 August 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which she was the previous UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Tate was previously a part of Strikeforce in which she was an Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Tate was also vice president of ONE Championship. She currently ranks in the top 10 in UFC women's bantamweight rankings at the time of her entry on October 3, 2022.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. Tate was a typical tomboy during her childhood and frequently played on playgrounds alongside other boys.
